Does each caller need an conference code or just the leader?
When you receive your confirmation from AccuConference, you will receive your own permanent Dial-in Number and two conference codes – a moderator code and a participant code. Provide the participant code to each of your conference participants along with the access phone number. You enter the moderator code – In the email that is sent out to customers we refer to the conference codes for the moderator and participant as codes. |

Can I have more than one conference call going at the same time?
You can have as many conference calls in a month as you want, but not at the same time. For instance if you schedule a one hour conference call at 10:00 and another at 11:00 then your run the risk of your 11 o'clock parties joining your 10 o'clock call before it is finished. You may want to leave a 15 minute transition "gap" between scheduled calls or you can setup multiple conference rooms to have meetings occur at the same time.

Conference Call Tips
Regardless of what's happening with new technologies in the conference call sector, because of its reliability and the almost universal installation of telephones in most parts of the developed world, the industry workhorse remains "vanilla" conference calls, where different people on different phones in different rooms hold a group discussion.
If you're running a conference call, remember that the Achilles Heel of these types of meetings is that the people involved don't have the usual visual clues they depend on in face-to-face meetings that allow them to: know when it's their turn to speak, adequately gauge the interest or understanding of others in the conversation, keep focused, and recognize and minimize distractions.

Selecting a Conference Call Provider
Over the last thirty years, conference calls have gone from a business tool that was the province of only the biggest companies to an everyday way of holding meetings for organizations of just about any size. As such, the competition these days for business is fierce among various conference call providers. This climate can work well for you when the time comes to consider just which of the many conference call providers will earn your patronage. |
